"Billy" Cabernet Sauvignon 2015 & "The Trip" Cabernet Sauvignon 2012

At Steamers what we are trying to achieve is very simple when it comes to wine:

To tell you the story about the wine, about its people and its life from the vine to the moment we will open the bottle for you and your friends.

To achieve that, we transmit our experience from the places we've been and the producers we spoke to, shared a meal with.

Passing by Adelaide, straight to the land of Cab Savs, Coonawarra.

To a vineyard we've never came across before: Raidis Estate.

A beautiful couple runs the estate, alongside their two little children. 

First Estate in the Coonawarra to produce a Riesling (and a good one!)

Of course the Cab Sav is what they do best. and that is why we decided to put both of their cabs on our list.

The little one, Billy, great typical example of this region.

The big one, the Trip, a lot more refined and powerful, with those great cigar notes from Coonawarra. Yes it is the 2012, but we are holding onto it, as we believe it will only be "ready" with a few more years on the bottle.
